Hello

My name is Juanita Weaver-Reiss MBA MPH RD LD CDCES CLT and I have worked in nutrition since 1988. I have worked in various areas of nutrition including long term care in nursing facilities, in the hospital setting, and as a Certified Diabetes Educator in an outpatient clinic. I opened my private practice Nutrition and Health Works, LLC in 2016.

I am always looking for ways to motivate and inspire my clients and one way that I have found makes a difference is to use an engaging approach and how to incorporate healthy eating with educational materials. This is the reason I have created these worksheets, handouts and PowerPoint presentations.

In my role as a diabetes educator, I coordinated a diabetes support group and developed engaging PowerPoint presentations. I found having interactive presentations helped my participants learn and adopt changes to make a difference in their diabetes plans.

I love seeing the "aha" moment when my clients find food ideas they can use at home to manage their diabetes better or how to eat to enhance their gut bacteria. The education materials will help you get to the "aha" moments with your clients too
