Eating out less? Organize.

I have started eating out less and cooking more meals at home. I think I am in good company. Many people are eating at home more for different reasons. I decided to eat at home more often for two reasons. The first is to save money. I could very easily go to a sit down restaurant and spend fifteen dollars on a meal. The second reason is to eat meals that contain less calories and fat with the goal to lose some weight and focus on choosing healthy foods.

Two drawbacks to eating at home more. The first is the time spent preparing the food. The second is to find some recipes that I like and are good for me.

I like the idea of a meal that is prepared quickly and I don't have to spend hours in the kitchen. I like several cookbooks because they fulfill this need. The first cookbook is Robyn Webb's Diabetic meals in 30 minutes or less. Another cookbook that gets you in and out of the kitchen in a hurry is the Healthy cookbook for two. These are simple recipes that don't require me to be a chef to prepare.

I also used to have another issue when I wanted to prepare a meal. I had a very disorganized cabinet. In fact, that probably is an understatement! I could never find the herbs and spices I needed when I was cooking. It was just chaos in the cabinet.

I decided to take some action. I pulled all of my herbs and spices out of the cabinets. I had a lot of herbs and spices. Many were no longer usable so these were discarded.

I now have a very organized cabinet and can find the herbs and spices as I need them for my recipes.

I have my cookbooks. I can find my herbs. The time it took to organize the cabinet was well worth the effort. I have another YouTube video. I hope you will view it at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4o-vav6vlLTXR57z3xzueQ

I am hoping you will subscribe to the channel to be notified of more videos.
