Make it Monday - Granola bars gluten free

Reasons to make homemade granola bars

  • A wonderful snack choice

  • Something that is quick to make

  • And is gluten free

  • only has the ingredients that are real food

  • Fast to make

Homemade granola gluten free


  • 1 1/2 cups oats gluten free

  • 1/4 cup peanut butter - or other nut butter

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey

  • 1 cup raisins or other dried fruit

  • 1 cup of nuts - almonds, pecans, or walnuts


  1. Grind nuts. Do not need to grind them completely.

  2. Place oats, nuts, and raisins in bowl.

  3. Warm molasses (honey) and nut butter in microwave for about 5 seconds on high to slightly warm mixture. Stir and pour over the oats, nuts, and raisins. Mix until all the dry ingredients are coated in the nut butter and molasses (honey).

  4. Once all ingredients are mixed, transfer to a 8x8 baking dish that is lined with parchment paper.

  5. Press the mixture down firmly, leveling out the mixture as you do this. You may want to take a glass and roll it over the mixture to press it down.

  6. Cover with plastic wrap. Put in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes.

  7. Cut the bars with a knife.

  8. Place in zip lock baggies and keep in refrigerator.

Other ingredients that can be added - coconut flakes, chocolate chips - can use the vegan chocolate chips if dairy free
