New Year, New You

It is the time for New Year's resolutions.

Perhaps you have made one or two of those already.

Only 7 to 8% of people who make New Year's resolutions end up achieving their goals

A way to be successful is to write your goals out in a SMART format.

S: be Specific

M: goal should be Measurable

A: your goal should be Attainable

R: what you do should be Rewarding

T: you can achieve your goal in a Timely way

Specific: Be very clear on what you want to achieve.

Measurable: Track your progress

Attainable: Make sure you can achieve your goal

Rewarding: Is your goal important to you?

Timely: Set a deadline or time frame for achieving your goal

These are common New Year's resolutions

  1. Diet or eat healthier (71 percent)

  2. Exercise more (65 percent)

  3. Lose weight (54 percent)

  4. Save more and spend less (32 percent)

  5. Learn a new skill or hobby (26 percent)

  6. Quit smoking (21 percent)

  7. Read more (17 percent)

It may be time to get some help with your goals to be successful. One of the ways to be successful is to have a coach to help you set your goals and keep you accountable.
