Slowing down how fast you eat
Reasons to slow down how fast you eat
Your body will be able to recognize the fullness signal at the end of the meal
It takes about 20 to 30 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain you are satisfied from a meal.
If you eat fast it is easy to overshoot this message and end up overstuffed.
You will eat less food which may help you eat less calories.
You can focus on the food while you eat it to be more mindful
To enjoy the way it looks
To enjoy the way it tastes and the aroma of it
Putting your utensil down between bites takes practice if you usually eat fast
