Mindful Eating - Tip # 3 Eat without distractions

How Eating Without Distractions Can Help with Mindful Eating

Mindful eating tip - # 3 eat without distractions can help a person be more mindful

  • You pay more attention to your food

  • You eat less

  • You enjoy the food more

  • You are more aware of when you are no longer hungry

If you multitask while you eat - watch tv, read, or do your work - you could be eating more food than you realize.

A way to assess how distractions may be impacting your eating, eat some meals without distractions. What happens differently during those meals versus the meals when you are watching tv or doing your work?

Do you eat less?

Do you notice the food and enjoy it more?

What is like when you have distractions during your meal?
